Started in 1977 and completed sometime in 1978, “The Yellowing Lawn” is another of the large scale pieces from the studio in downtown Santa Ana, Ca. This piece is not as colorful as the previously completed “The Alkali Pool”. It shows a struggle to understand how the value and intensity of colored pencils can be altered. It is 28″ by 38″, pen and ink and colored pencil on hot press board.
